BEIJING, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Vice President of the Cuban Council of Ministers Ricardo Cabrisas on Thursday in Beijing.

China and Cuba are "good comrades and good friends", and the friendship is solid and unbreakable, Wang said.

The Chinese side congratulates the Cuban side on the recent completion of a major domestic political agenda, and believes that under the leadership of the Cuban ruling party and its government, the Cuban people will make new achievements in the country's development, he said.

Wang noted that China will continue to provide assistance to Cuba within its capability and is ready to strengthen all-round cooperation with the Cuban side.

Cabrisas said that the Cuban side is firmly committed to developing ties with China as good comrades, friends and partners, and is willing to actively participate in Belt and Road construction.
